Gloriosa superba is normally found in Savannah or coastal scrub where it scrambles up the vegetation. The flower cannot easily be confused with anything else.

Plant in a well drained soil in semi-shade, preferably en masse. Ideally it should scramble up a small shrub.Do not overwater. The small size makes it ideal for the smaller garden.
