Gnidia kraussiana produces hairy stems that sprout annually from a woody rootstock. The leaves are covered in silky hairs and so is the yellow flowers. It is also one of the so-called pre-rain flowers. It blends well with grasses.

Plant Gnidia kraussiana in a well-drained soil and keep dry in winter. It looks best if mixed with other Grassland species.
