Hesperantha grandiflora is an erect bulbous perennial that can reach heights between 0.15-0.7m. It is a hardy garden plant ideal for a mixed border and makes for a lovely feature in a rockery or less formal grassland type garden, or planted in groups around a pond.
Plant Description

Hesperantha grandiflora is an erect bulbous perennial that can reach heights between 0.15-0.7m. The leaves are dark green, flat, limp and 2-6mm wide. It bears 1-6 flowers on a hanging stem about 40mm in diameter large and a bright mauve colour in the summer between January and April. The flowers are only open during the day. The flowers attract pollinating insects and birds to the garden.
