Imperata cylindrica spreads very quickly in damp soil and is a good soil stabiliser. It is not recommended for garden use unless it can be contained.
Plant Description

Imperata cylindrica prefers a damp spot and the underground rhizomes will ensure that the damp area is quickly covered. Important in erosion control, especially along river courses.

Imperata cylindrica is not recommended for garden use.
