Ipomea bolusiana has creeping stems with  hairless leaves that sprout annually from an thick, tuberous rootstock.The green leaves of this dwarf shrub are narrow, widely spaced, up to 7 cm long.The beautiful pink, funnel-shaped flowers near the base  appear between the grasses early in the season.

Plant Ipomea bolusiana in a well-drained soil and keep dry in winter. It also makes a nice pot plant.
