Plant Description

Leonotus ocymifolia  is a sprawling shrublet that sprouts from a swollen, woody rootstock. The orange, spherical flowerheads  that appear on the nodes attract insects and birds and is a worthwhile addition to a grassland garden.

There are three subspecies and not all of them are relatively small.
