Melinis nerviglumis is a hardy, tufted, perennial grass with grey leaves. The beautiful plumes of shiny fluffy pink to red seeds attract small seed eating birds. A beautiful garden plant that should be pruned down to about 5cm above ground level every winter.

Planted en masse, with the sun shining on the fluffy spikes, Melinis nerviglumis make a wonderful sight.
