Plant Type
Nerine filifolia is a floriferous summer-growing plant that produces delicate, bright pink flowers which bring a magnificent colourful display to your garden towards the end of the warm summer when not much else is flowering.
Plant Description
Nerine filifolia is a hardy, dainty, deciduous, free flowering bulb with fine, grass-like leaves forming thick tufts. A thin flower stalk that leans over at an angle bears 8-10 pretty cyclamen pink flowers that last for 3-4 weeks. It flowers late in the season when not much else is in flower.
Nerine filifolia is a valuable edging plant for sun or semi-shade. Water well in summer.
Nerine species are a must for a grassland garden.
Beware of the amaryllis worm.
