Plectranthus grandidentatus is a medium sized semi-succulent perennial herb that reaches heights of about 0.6m tall. It grows in shaded positions in dry rocky areas and has velvety aromatic stems. The leaves are softly succulent, densely velvety, with deeply toothed margins the leaves are about 20-70x18-75mm large. The terminal inflorescence is sometimes branched at the base and bears small, white finely hairy flowers about 7-15mm large, borne during summer between November and April.
Plectranthus grandidentatus is ideal for mass planting and makes for a beautiful showy groundcover in shaded areas.
