Plectranthus purpuratus is an erect spreading herb with dark green fleshy leaves that is often purplish below. This beautiful, small showy plant is ideal for rockeries, containers or as a groundcover in a shady position. Height hardly exceeds 30cm.
Plant Description

Plectranthus purpuratus is an erect spreading herb with dark green fleshy leaves that is often purplish below. It carries its leaves and flowers on erect stems of about 100mm tall but the infloresence is borne on a terminal racemose/ spike of between 30-120mm long often with 1 or 2 side branches also carrying flowers. The flowers are a tiny, white to bluish tubes carried during September to May followed by light to dark brown tiny nutlets.

Plectranthus purpuratus is  a beautiful, small showy plant that is ideal for rockeries, containers or as a groundcover in a shady position.
