Plactroniella armata is a deciduous shrub that can also grow into a small upright tree. It can also be used on the edge of a screen or bush clump and its thorns make it an ideal barrier plant.
Plant Description

Plectroniella armata is a deciduous shrub that can also grow into a small upright tree. It has a remarkably right angled branching system with large strong spines. It bears showy white flowers that are sweetly scented followed by orange fleshy fruits carried in bunches, these have a sweet taste and make a good jelly once they have turned brown.

Plectroniella armata is a beautiful flowering and fruiting small shrub  attracts  birds to the garden it is also an attractive feature due to its straight, slim, neat, upright form. It can also be used on the edge of a screen or bush clump and its thorns make it good for a barrier. It grows reasonably fast.
