Plant Description

Sansevieria aethiopica is an extremely durable and tough plant, growing from a thick rhizome, with long, rosette-like leaves, often with light green contrasting horizontal markings. The plants form dense stands under fairly open tree canopies. A tall flowering stem carries creamy, scented, whitish-yellow tubular flowers that open towards the evening. These are followed by reddish-orange berries that attract birds. Beautiful form plant and particularly good for dry shady areas.

Sansevieria aethiopica will grow in full sun but is far more vigorous and attractive if grown in shade. It is very drought tolerant.
