Common Name
Spiky Mother-in-Law's tonque
Plant Type
Perennial
Sansevieria pearsonii is a hardy, well known garden plant with dull olive green cylindrical leaves that have a spike tip. Plant in semi-shade or shade. Strong architectural lines.
Plant Description

Sansevieria pearsonii is a succulent perennial, up to 1 m, with a fan of hard, ribbed cylindric leaves, overlapping near the base. The leaves are spine-tipped at the apex. Lovely spikes of scented creamy flowers that usually open at night are followed by large orange berries that are relished by birds.

Plant Sansevieria pearsonii in semi-shade or shade. Makes a good container plant. The thick, cylindrical leaves are also architecturally very strong and almost reminiscent of Strelitsia juncea.
