Satureja reptans

Satureja reptans is an aromatic, straggling, perennial herb that reaches heights between 250-600mm tall. This is a beautiful small to medium perennial herb and the flowers make for a lovely attraction. It can be used in containers or in a mixed border in a shaded area.
Plant Description

Satureja reptans (new name  Killickia pilosa) is an aromatic, straggling, perennial herb that reaches heights between 250-600mm tall. It prefers shady positions in a garden. It has a slender, hairy stem, Strongly aromatic leaves with toothed margins about 16-24x12-20mm large. The flowers are borne in clusters of 1-5 in short terminal inflorescence, the flowers are bell shaped and 10mm in diameter, white with a tinge of pink and a yellow stripe in the middle. They are borne in summer between December and April.

Very little is known about Satureja reptans but is probably edible.
