Searsia ciliata is an evergreen, thorny, thin and crooked-stemmed shrub that reaches heights between 2-4m, it bears tiny flowers during spring and the small brown fruit that attracts many birds to the garden.

The tree is ideal for a mixed shrub garden or as a feature shrub to attract birds to the garden and it is drought resistant.
Plant Description

Searsia ciliata is an evergreen, thorny, thin and crooked-stemmed shrub that reaches heights between 2-4m. It has a grey, smooth bark. The leaves are trifoliate, the flowers are tiny, yellow-green and attracts many insects. The flowers are followed by brown, shiny fruit that attract many birds.

The tree is ideal for a mixed shrub garden or as a feature shrub to attract birds to the garden and it is drought resistant. Grow it on the dry side.
