Selago galpinii

Selago galpinii is a medium sized shrub that reaches heights between 150-500mm. This is a lovely colourful specimen for the garden, quite the feature and is ideal as a ground cover or mass planted in a border. It attracts blue butterflies to the garden and it looks lovely in a rockery.
Plant Description

Selago galpinii is a medium sized shrub that reaches heights between 150-500mm tall. It has a woody rootstock with several leafy stems forming a rounded cushion. The leaves are terminal clustered and are 7-23x1-2mm large. Selago galpinii's flowers are large terminal, slender branched inflorescence with side branches mostly on one side, masses of tiny 5mm diameter mauve coloured flowers are borne between January and May.

Selago galpinii is a lovely colourful specimen for the garden, quite the feature and is ideal as a ground cover or mass planted in a border. It attracts blue butterflies to the garden and it looks lovely in a rockery. It prefers a cool climate.
