Stachys natalensis is a  perennial herb with several stems which are erect and will reach a height of 20cm. Leaves are toothed and the base is heart-shaped.Flowers are borne on a long stork, arranged in pairs. The leaves are very aromatic.

Stachys natalensis has a very long flowering season, starting in late summer. It is ideal to provide colour late in the season when not many plants are in flower.  Cut back in late winter after flowering.
