Tinnea rhodesiana bears chocolate brown to purplish brown, violet scented flowers. The small olive green foliage is an attractive component of the shrub. The seeds are encased in a bladder-like calyx that turn papery with a purplish tinge.
Tinnea rhodesiana thrives in dry rocky conditions and should be planted in full sun or semi-shade in well-drained soil.
