Plant Type
Trichodesma angustifolium has pale blue flowers, turning pink with age, that cover the blue bells in springtime, especially after a fire.
Plant Description
Trichodesma angustifolium is a perennial herb with annual stems sprouting from a woody rootstock. Rounded bushes up to 0.5 m high and 2.0 m in diameter are formed and works well as a groundcover.
Dainty pale blue flowers, turning pink with age, cover the blue bells in springtime, especially after fire.
Trichodesma angustifolium should not be confused with the chocolate-bells, Trichodesma physaloides, which is more compact and taller.
