The flowers of Urginea depressa, about 100mm high, normally appears before the leaves and is very conspicuous after the veld was burned. Plant amongst small grasses otherwise it will disappear.
Plant Description

Urginea depressa is a small bulbous plant covered with fleshy scales The  narrow leaves almost forms a rosette. The flowers, on stalks about 10 cm high, normally appears before the leaves and is very conspicuous after the veld was burned.  

Due to its small size, Urginea depressa is more suited to container planting or in the front of a rockery; or plant amongst small grasses otherwise it will disappear.
