Watsonia angusta is a very hardy, evergreen, bulbous plant with strap-like leaves and spikes of orangey-red flowers in summer.
It makes a good accent plant but is also beautiful for mass planting. It grows and flowers best when it has sufficient water and sun although it tolerates semi-shade. Once planted, it should not be disturbed for at least five years. After that it can be split up and replanted in late winter.
