Plant Description

Asparagus densiflorus  is a  prostrate perennial with bright green, needle-like dense foliage and fragrant, small, star-like flowers that are followed by attractive red berries, which attract birds to the garden. Thorns are relatively small compared to other plants in this genus.

Asparagus densiflorus is an extremely versatile plant that can be used as a groundcover or container plant in full sun or light shade.Prune once a year to keep it looking neat and attractive.

There are various cultivars on the market such as "Sprengeri", "Mazeppa" and "Meyersii".
