Sansevieria hyacinthoides is a hardy perennial with succulent, loose clusters of mottled, flat leaves. They multiply at the base from a rhizome with offshoots. The leaves are erect, in loose clusters, arising from the ground, flat ( ± 60 × 8 cm), dark green with paler markings and margins red. Gorgeous sprays of white flowers with a faint scent open at night. These are followed by large orange berries that are relished by birds.
Plant Sansevieria hyacinthoides in semi-shade or shade.
